It takes personal effort and sheer determination to achieve set goals for specific projects. Being happy is one of such many projects where you may also need complete focus to achieving considerable resounding results.
Happiness is a prerequisite for a healthy living and one must be conscious of this fact to attain one goal in life living in good health by consistent application of these steps:
1. Talk to someone about it. When you are sad or feeling weird about life or just indifferent of critical issues about your life, then you need to talk to someone about it. Let someone know what you are going through. The person could be in form of a good companion, friend or a relative. It could also be your father or mother or a preacher (pastor) depending on who you can confide in. such persons can always lower the rope and pull you out of that sad situation. Take note of that true companion in who you can confide in for happiness when sadness comes creeping back again.

2. Be involved in social forums locally or internationally. Do not isolate yourself from society when you want to gain happiness, you need to be involved in a local community group that caters for the poor, disabled, less privilege kids in the society. Such kind of ventures could bring happiness and make you forget that you were ever sad at any time because you can see clearly that you are bringing happiness to people’s lives. Sadness comes when you focus so much on yourself; therefore, anytime you can help others, which will make your focus shift and then, happiness comes knocking on your door again.

3. Pray about it. There is nothing that prayer cannot do, if you can deploy your faith that has been given to you by God. God has given everyman the same amount of faith. King James calls it a “measure of faith”. This is the best step by which your happiness can be justified, that is through your faith, (Romans 1:17b).

WHERE DO YOU CAMP? IN THE PAST OR THE FUTURE

I met a guy whom I contested election with, but the election did not have a conclusive end because of election malpractices that was being perpetuated by unknown people he was working with. He knew that the election result will not go his way, so he used the unknown bodies in his favour, but still yet things did not go his way which then resulted to cancellation of the election.
When I met him recently, he told me that the next time he would go in for election he will kill anybody that will stand on his way.
So, you could see that this fellow life is still trapped in the past and believes and even want it to remain that way. God has said in his word that: “while the earth remaineth, seed and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22 (KJV) that means “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
It is very necessary for us to know that if we sow in the good old days, in the past we are going to reap the past. Jesus Christ did not come to change the past laws (laws of Moses) but to improve on these laws to respond to present and future realities. It does not mean we should discard the past but don’t remain in your past.
Do not also labour in your past but use your past as a reference point for self-examination for future success. What have you planted in the past and still watering till now? If it does not conform to future realities, then it is time to uproot and replant futuristic realities that will affect humanity and give glory to God. For Paul said that: “...and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour” 1 Corinthians 3:8B (KJV)
What you start doing from this point will determine your reward and the kind of reward you will receive at the end.

SUREST ROUTE TO PURPOSEFUL LIVING

The really good news is that life does not begin when you just graduate from the university or any other high institution as many have been made to believe but rather life began the day we came from our mother’s womb or better still, since we were conceived in our mother’s womb.
The moment we were born, learning began, our dreams were on course, because from this part of our lives, it is only natural we start learning to sit, to crawl and then to walk and not only that, we also found ourselves learning to assert our rights rather successfully initially through body language and in no time through spoken words.
Our dreams at this stage were fresh; they were without uncertainty, fear and apprehension. We had little or nothing to worry about but later on as life became so familiar with us; we became so conscious of fear rather than courage.
Soon enough, we gave in to fear; we where now on red-alert to any shortest or quickest route to success. The one big difference between an adult and a child in learning which seems to inhibit the adult from stepping out is fear. This has given a lot of people direction in life, it is most unfortunate that they still hold so strong to fear rather than courage. This is the single reason why purposeful living has eluded many.
When we were young, we were good dreamers, I could remember telling my mother of what I want to be when I grow up, I told my mum that I would become an engineer and all sorts; as life was becoming matured, so many uncertainties started creeping in with over crowded responsibilities to family members and relatives. Those of us that once had a glimpse of what we should do had already adopted passionate reasons to just walk among the crowd where mediocrity is the only motivation for living. Getting a job to pay bills and that of family, settling down and having to build your own nuclear family is another story altogether, so where does the purposeful living fits in?
The greatest gift God gave to man is not the gift of sight but the gift of vision. While sight could be said to be a function of the eyes, vision is a function of the heart. That is why the eyes that look are very common but the eyes that see are very rare. Like I said at the beginning of this paragraph that God greatest gift to man is the gift of vision.
What is vision?
From my knowledge of vision, I best understand it as what possesses you on your inside, vision is a glimpse of our future that God has proposed. Note, it might not be preferable or acceptable to us.
Vision also means to see something coming into view as if it was already there.
Vision is given to us by God, it cannot be given by man or any other deity except God. Every person was created by God to accomplish something that no one else can accomplish. Every person was created to be known for a special thing. This means that one person with vision is greater than the passive force of ninety-nine people who are merely interested in becoming something.
Vision comes from purpose. We were born at the right time to accomplish our vision during our generation. This simply means, that at any interval of life, when a problem arises, God always bring a solution for that problem. The solution cannot just come alone; it must be embedded in earthy vessels, inside somebody, inside you to be very précised. It is now up to you to realize that you have a solution for the world.
This brings us to the essence of our gift. Our gift will make a way for us in the world and enable us to fulfill our vision. Think of it as your gift could be the solution your community seeks, it could be what will shoot you into limelight, abundance, fame and above all fulfillment in Christ Jesus.
If vision comes from purpose, therefore, purpose is the source of vision.
Purpose is when you know and understand what you where born to accomplish. If this last sentence sinks into your heart, then we can begin to produce because purpose must be first established before production because your purpose is already completed in God. Your birth or your conception in your mother’s womb is already a proof of your completion.
When we have come to terms with our purpose, then vision will become as close as our deepest desires and thus gives us fulfillment. Then your surest route to purposeful living will becomes clear when you boldly answer these questions:
Ø Do you believe in yourself?
Am very sure you do, because contrary would imply God failed in creating you.
Ø Do you believe that you have something on your inside?
Certainly there must be something you can do.
Ø Do you believe that God gave you a vision?
if you believe, then starts buying stocks in your vision. Your vision is a company consisting of many employees, both direct and indirect employees, depended and independent contractors. If you do not buy into your vision nobody will, because since you aren’t sure of yourself nobody will be sure of you. When you believe that the stocks of a company would grow, you will certainly buy into it. There are people that do make the analysis and then motivates you into putting your money.
The only way you can start investing in your vision is by discovering your purpose and then living it. That is what I call purposeful living. There are many people suffering around the world, very many live below a dollar on a daily basis, so many people are dying from preventable diseases and curable diseases and you are there with your finger crossed only thinking of yourself and family.
Vision always seeks on helping humanity or building up others in some ways. Having this kind of vision certainly should start shaping you into the surest way of purposeful living.
Vision requires a vital connection with God, if not; it could be hijacked or polished to make it look like vision even though it is now ambition. The absence of God has turned great vision of thousands of people into mere ambition.
If I say I want to become the greatest surgeon in the world and eventually became one without dedicating a little fraction of my time to helping people who cannot pay for my service, then it is an ambition.
So if you do not have Jesus Christ in your life or have not yet realized His essence that through Him you can glow to the world then, read down to accept Him. He is standing and waiting for you right now, He is very close to you now, just read down fast and say the prayer now that His hands that was nailed to the cross is stretch towards you.
Having Jesus Christ on your side is the surest route to a purposeful living. Yes it is the absolute truth because the moment purpose expires, death get new authority. The greatest defense to death is purpose and submitting to principles.
Think of it today, that once death arrives or comes knocking, will you tell him to give you time to put things in order, those things you should have done right from your youth. Death is a busy personality, so, he has no patience, he is always on time, he will be glad to drag out of this earth quickly when he knows that you have not even live out 10% of your purpose. What an unfortunate situation awaits you if you refuse to enjoy your life here on earth by living a simple purposeful life in Christ Jesus.
What where you thinking? That God is going to ask you of how many women or men you slept with, or whether you were a lesbian or gay or both, where you also thinking He is just going to sit on His throne and ask you how much you stole from public treasury, or how many children you killed through abortion, or how many people you killed. Sure He is going to judge you on why you did all of it but God is going to send you right down to hell when He finds out that out of the 70years or the 840 months, the 3,360 weeks, the 23,520 days, the 564,480 hours, the 33,868,800 minutes and 2,032128000 seconds, you could not account for a second of your life you did the right thing for God. Sure, He is going to condemn you to hell for His time He invested in you to just live a happy and a purposeful life in Christ Jesus. Is that so difficult?

Lord Jesus,
I come to you today,
I know you came to die for me,
